Bruschettas with Roquefort and Caramelized Pears - West Cost Ale (BLZ)

For the West Coast Ale, we offer Bruschettas with Roquefort and Caramelized Pears . The creamy, tangy blue cheese contrasts nicely with the bitterness of the beer, while the sweetness of the caramelized pears highlights its malty notes.

Ingredients for 2 people:

  • 100g Roquefort or other blue cheese
  • 2 ripe pears, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • A few walnuts, roughly chopped, for garnish

Instructions :

  1. Caramelization of Pears :

    • In a frying pan, melt the butter over medium heat.
    • Add the pear slices and sprinkle with brown sugar.
    • Cook the pears until tender and caramelized, then set them aside.
  2. Preparation of Bruschettas :

    • Toast the country bread slices until crispy.
    • Spread the Roquefort generously on each slice of toast.
  3. Assembly :

    • Arrange the caramelized pear slices on the blue cheese.
  4. Garnish :

    • Top each bruschetta with chopped nuts to add crunch and a nutty flavor.
