For a Scandinavian Blonde Ale, with its light and herbaceous profile, we offer Chicken Skewers Marinated in Lemon and Thyme . This combination of fresh and aromatic flavors pairs perfectly with the sweetness and subtle notes of the beer.
Ingredients for 2 people:
For the chicken skewers:
- 2 chicken breasts, cut into cubes
- Juice and zest of 1 lemon
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
- Salt and pepper
To accompany :
- Lemon slices and thyme sprigs for garnish
Marinade for Chicken :
- In a large bowl, combine the lemon juice and zest, olive oil, minced garlic, thyme, salt and pepper.
- Add the chicken cubes and toss to coat well.
- Leave to marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, ideally a few hours.
Preparation of the Skewers :
- Thread the marinated chicken cubes onto skewers (if using wooden skewers, soak them in water beforehand to prevent them from burning).
Cooking the Skewers :
- Preheat your grill or skillet to medium-high heat.
- Grill the chicken skewers on each side until cooked through and golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Serve the skewers hot, garnished with lemon slices and fresh thyme sprigs.
The freshness of lemon and the scent of thyme in the chicken skewers complete the characteristics of a Blonde Ale, highlighting its lightness and delicate aromas.
