Honey Glazed Pork Ribs - Exotic Sweet Stout (BlackPig Brewing Company)

To accompany an Exotic Sweet Stout, we offer Honey Glazed Pork Ribs , with a touch of coffee to recall the aromas of the beer. This sweet-salty and spicy dish offers a deep, rich contrast that complements the beer's chocolate, coffee and exotic fruit notes.

Ingredients for 2 people:

  • 1 kg of pork ribs
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • 1 teaspoon finely ground coffee
  • 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • Salt and pepper
  • Olive oil

Instructions :

  1. Preparation of the Ribs :

    • Preheat your oven to 150°C.
    • Season the ribs with salt, pepper, paprika, cumin, chili and ground coffee.
    • In a pan over medium heat, brown the ribs on both sides with a little olive oil.
  2. Preparation of the Lacquer :

    • In a bowl, mix the honey, soy sauce and minced garlic.
    • Brush the ribs with this preparation.
  3. Oven cooking :

    • Place the ribs in a baking dish and cover with aluminum foil.
    • Cook in the oven for around 1h30, basting the ribs regularly with the cooking juices.
  4. Finishing :

    • Increase the oven temperature to 200°C.
    • Remove the foil and let the ribs caramelize for 10-15 minutes.
  5. Service :

    • Serve the ribs hot, accompanied by grilled vegetables or a fresh salad.

The combination of spices, honey and coffee in the ribs creates a harmony of flavors that pairs perfectly with the rich and sweet character of an Exotic Sweet Stout.
